Amazwi Omzansi Africa Foundation

Amazwi Omzansi Africa (Voices of South Africa) Foundation was started with visions of building bridges through music and the arts and to create a performance platform for talented South African artists. To provide them with important concrete opportunities for artistic careers and to improve their experiences from an artistic, professional, personal and cultural point of view.

Amazwi Omzansi Africa was founded by the young international South African opera singer, Njabulo Madlala. He leads this foundation alongside another young, international and very talented South African pianist, James Baillieu. They care about the conditions of their fellow South African artists and artists around the world.


Objectives

- Enable the training and nurturing of young South African musicians, particularly singers by supporting local, national and international collaboration.

- Act as a bridge between South African young artists and professional music institutions and musicians in South Africa and abroad.

- Introduce Western classical music especially opera ( previously known to be only a European art form ) to a wider South African audience while promoting South African music and composers to audiences around the world.

- Introduce fundraising and community educational concerts as a way of forming a significant part in the fight against HIV/Aids and Crime.
